The new e-BRT system was inaugurated in the presence of local institutions, promoting bodies, and key stakeholders. It is Lombardy’s first “rubber-tyred tram” and the first in Italy to be fully funded through PNRR resources.
Starting August 3, the new line will connect Bergamo, Dalmine, and Verdellino, creating a more efficient link between the area’s main hubs and introducing a new model of sustainable mobility designed to improve daily travel and reduce environmental impact.
A true “rubber-tyred tram” which, despite not running on rails, ensures the same principles of regularity, frequency, reliability, and punctuality associated with tram systems, thanks to dedicated lanes, traffic-light priority, and control infrastructure.
As part of this major project, ETS S.p.A. provided Construction Management and Safety Coordination during the Construction Phase, supporting the development of a project characterized by a high degree of technical and organizational complexity.
A result that demonstrates the value of engineering applied to major infrastructure projects: delivering projects that improve the area and generate tangible, long-lasting benefits for the communities they serve.
