Participating in the conference “Nuclear Technologies and Applications for a Sustainable Future,” convened by the Lombardy Region, provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on the future of energy and the role of nuclear technologies in promoting sustainability.

The discussion concluded with the signing of a protocol between the Lombardy Region and the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency): a memorandum of understanding on civil nuclear technologies, aimed at promoting research, innovation and sustainable applications in strategic areas such as energy production, environmental safety and nuclear medicine.

This unprecedented agreement confirms Lombardy as a key player in the relaunch of next-generation nuclear technologies within a global context where energy security and climate neutrality are increasingly at the center of the debate.
