ETS S.p.A., as a member of the Temporary Design Consortium led by SYSTRA, has announced that it has been awarded the construction design contract for Lot 2 of the new Naples Metro Line, covering the section between Naples – Vittorio Station and Casoria – Afragola Station.

The award decision, issued by EAV – Ente Autonomo Volturno, concerns a complex and strategic project that includes the construction design and construction of system plants, the design and supply of railway vehicles, as well as full-service maintenance.The total estimated value of the contract, including options, amounts to €690.9 million, while the share relating to design activities totals € 5.77 million, to be allocated among the companies of the consortium according to the agreed percentages.

This project is a key step in strengthening the metropolitan transport system in the northern area of Naples, contributing to improved sustainable mobility and stronger connections between major urban and metropolitan hubs.The award further confirms ETS’s role as a leading technical partner in the design of complex and strategic railway infrastructure, in line with the company’s development path, which is focused on innovation, safety and sustainability.
