Over the years ETS S.p.A. has designed several school, university and research center buildings, both new-builds and redevelopments of existing facilities.

In addition to traditional reinforced concrete structures, several wooden school buildings have been designed: these have obtained CasaClima School and ClimAbita Superior certification.

The ETS design process focuses on aesthetics, usability, accessibility, environmental comfort, energy savings, control of noise levels and compliance with seismic regulations.

Architectural, structural and system designers work in concert to ensure users enjoy optimal practicality in terms of spaces and routing, perceptive comfort, acoustic comfort and thermo-hygrometric well-being.

There’s also a sharp focus on the use of eco-sustainable and recyclable materials, renewable energy sources, energy consumption management, control and optimisation systems and materials/systems to control noise emissions.

The majority of school building projects have been developed exclusively in a BIM environment.
